Cure Commwarrior variants

Symbian Mobile series(series60 first , second and third editions) are all prone to get effected by viruses quickly. some of the most common viruses in symbian first and second edition mobiles like the 6600,6630,6681,7610,n70 etc.. are commwarrior viruses with SymbOS/Commwarrior worm variants commwarrior A, Commwarrior B, Commwarrior C, etc.....

Its construction is so superb that we can quote it as the best web browser of today. its better than internet explorer(which hangs almost all the time), opera and even the newly releases google chrome.

Firefox 3.0.3 loads web pages and images faster than any of its previous versions and any other browser of today. The images load fastly and seems like there is more clarity to the pics . it also utilizes less CPU memory and avoids 98% crashes or others. The download section has improved a bit( slight improvement).

A very good and useful feature of this version is that you can zoom in and out of the web pages and images by pressing ctrl key and scrolling the mouse scroll.

These pc viruses or malwares are found to be effected in almost every pc system . they mostly spread where pen drives or memory cards are used frequently. they also affects a system through internet . the symptom includes when a drive in my computer is opened , it opens in a seperate window, or when manager is opened a message pops up saying "task manager has been disabled by the administrator" . same happens when registry opens . also when you click on the show hidden files option , you will notice it wont work.
REMEDIES

first go and download
regrun reanimator which is free for download from http://download.softpedia.com/dl/85800bd07a6719d5f5f3292677c8d040/48ff858f/100109372/software/antivirus/reanimator.zip and unzip and click on the reanimator.exe file . now click on the uninstall partisan if you dont want regrun partisan to check for root kits at start up(it slows down computer).
now close the window and in the second window click on the processes listed . its details will be listed to the right. if shown Dangerous then right click on the process and click terminate and again terminate . repeat for all the processes. now check the system tab above and ensure it is windows explorer and nothing else written along with windows explorer. if yes then click on the restore button and explorer restarts correcting the problem.
It should be noted that My computer and all its drives should REMAIN UNTOUCHED because clicking on a drive could bring back the virus .
now restart the computer and check whether show hidden files work . if not then copy the following code to a notepad

and save it as anyname.reg and check whether the newly saved file has an iconic representation of the windows registry . if so means double click and yes and ok for the warning message that pops up. if it does not bear the iconic representation then right click the file and click Open With and click browse in the small window that appears and navigate to windows installation drive normally c:\windows and click on regedit.exe and click ok and then click ok to the warning message that pops up.

now you will find that your option for show hidden folders is again up and working. REMEMBER NOT TO CLICK ON ANY DRIVE IN MY COMPUTER YET.
now check the show hidden files option and uncheck the Hide protected operating system files option found 2 lines below the show hidden files option( a warning message pops up and click ok)

now open my computer and OPEN A DRIVE BY CLICKING ON THE ADDRESS BAR found at the top and not by double clicking on the drive. once you are inside then delete the files autorun.inf and all other files mentioned in the autorun.inf file. mainly it includes smss.exe , funny ust scandal.exe, ravmon.exe, etc.. repeat the procedure for EVERY DRIVE and DONT double click and DONT Delete any system files found in the drive that contains te windows folders ( C:\) . once completed close the my computer and open task manager . if task manager doesn't work then download restriction remover tool (google search ) and enable task manager. now click on the processes tab and right click on the explorer and click end process tree . now click on the applications tab and click new task and type EXPLORER and click ok . The explorer will be back to normal. now you can double click on any drives . now you are virtually free of the above mentioned viruses
